The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant recently celebrated her 35th AKAversary, and she honored the pink and green Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., with a nostalgic post on social media.

Bryant shared a four-photo carousel on Instagram. In the pictures, she wore her AKA jacket during the tail-end of Hampton University’s homecoming Sunday. Bryant joined AKA through its Gamma Theta Chapter at Hampton when she was in college.

“🩷💚 Celebrating 35 YEARS of @akasorority1908 come thru @gammatheta_akas 🩷💚 love my line sisters #AWingAndAPrayer @_hamptonu,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

Her followers, some of whom are AKAs, commented on the post to congratulate her on nearly four decades of membership in the nation’s oldest Black sorority.

Fans and other AKA members congratulated Bryant on the milestone

“I said my Soror….💚🩷 Just love you G!,” one commenter wrote.

“Happy Akaversary💕Skee Wee from Gamma Upsilon prophyte🩷💚Spr85. Our 40th Akaversary.” another wrote.

“Sweeeeee-Weee my Soror,” The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Jassi Harris commented , along with a pulsing pink heart and green heart.

‘SKEE WEE MY SORORS!’

The 55-year-old has long represented her Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. According to an Atlanta Black Star article from 2021, Bryant then shared throwback photos of her time as an AKA at Hampton University in the early 1990s.

“#GammaTheta Spring 90 💞💚 I remember it like it yesterday. SKEE WEE MY SORORS! #HappyFoundersDay #AKA #J15 #HamptonUniversity,” she wrote in the post’s caption to commemorate the sorority’s founding day on Jan. 15.

In the photo carousel, Bryant was pictured with her line sisters, who were wearing pink jackets, matching sunglasses and green berets at the Virginia-based HBCU.

At the time, fans commented on Bryant’s features, which some said resembled those of Vanessa Williams, while others suggested that she and her daughter, Grace, could be twins.

In addition to Grace, Bryant also has twin daughters, Angel and Adore, whom she shares with ex-husband Pastor Jamal Bryant. The Houston native has always prioritized being an active mother in her daughters’ lives.

In March, she took them on a girls’ trip to South Africa. “What I will do is show my kids the world 🌍❤️ #CapeTown South Africa loading…” she wrote in a post’s caption on Instagram, according to Essence.
