Laurence Fishburne is excited to be a part of the world of The Witcher.

Fishburne joins the final season of Netflix’s fantasy series as Regis, a barber who has a mysterious past. The character is known as a fan favorite, and Fishburne loves the fact that he can bring this character to life.

“I’ve never been involved in this kind of a world, but it’s a kind of a world that I’ve always loved and wanted to be a part of,” he told Blavity’s Shadow and Act in our recent cast interview. “So the opportunity presented itself and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I’m, I’m in [with] mages and sword fighting and kings and queens and monsters, and yeah. So I’m just thrilled that I got to be here.”

He continued, “Working with these guys has been a joy. Working with Lauren [Schmidt Hissrich], our showrunner, has been a joy and I’m just thrilled that people are gonna be enjoy. I think people are gonna really love what we’ve done.”
